God is so faithful!!
Last night was a night of constant interruptions and very little sleep. Cindy and I both got up this morning tired and determined that last night would be the last night in the hospital.
The doctor came in this morning and said that if all went well, Cindy could leave tomorrow or Tuesday. After some debate, the doctor agreed that Cindy could possibly leave today if she had a good bowel movement. After the doctor left, I prayed with Cindy asking the Lord to allow her body to do what He created it to do. Before I even finished the prayer, Cindy began to cramp. She went into the bathroom and for the first time in over two weeks, Cindy's bowels did completely what God created them to do.
We won't know for sure when Cindy will be allowed to go home until later today, but God has once again answered our prayers in a miraculous way.

  1. Such an incredible journey and so many faithfully answered prayers. What a blessing to be a part of it as the Lord has so effectively united so many hearts in thoughtful prayer for this time of healing and restoration for Cindy's body. Intercessory prayer is such a beautiful reflection of the Lord's mercy and grace. May you continue to be uplifted in prayer as your healing continues at the Scheihnings. And may you continue to be blessed by the fellowship of God's heart through the ministering hands of friends and family as you progress to the next phase of recovery. Rejoicing with you in the blessings of the first phase of this very difficult trek and praying the momentum continues during the next two weeks. Whichever day you leave the hospital, I know it will be the best day as the Lord sees it. Love, hugs and prayers, Lisa
