Update (3/16/2009) 9:30pm

Cindy had a restful but productive day today. She slept often and well. She also went up and down the stairs several times; ate breakfast, lunch and dinner; and took a shower for the first time in over 2 weeks. She is feeling much more human.
She has some bloating, so we will do some extra walking tomorrow.
All in all, a very good first day out of the hospital, without nursing care. Cindy's biggest challenge now is not being too bold to think she can do more than her body is ready to do. She wants to be completely back to normal - tomorrow. She will have to be a bit more patient than that.

"Praise the Lord O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." Ps. 103:2-5

  1. Hi,
I'm so glad you finally got to leave the hospital. Add that to your list of miracles.
Remember not to expect too much of yourself. You'll be back home in no time. Praise the Lord. Love, Rita

  2. God is so incredible, we were reading in Luke today hoe Jesus encourages us to remember how precious we are to God that He knows what we need without us remembering Him that we need food and a shower every two weeks (sorry for the humor) at least, a bed to rest, but He takes care of our selves way much more than He does for the plants, the ravens (not only the football team) and the grass. The Spirit tells us what to pray for, the Son is interceeding for us upon the Father, we cannot be in better hands. Great is Thy faithfulness Oh, Lord Our Father...
At the Scheihing's you will have plenty of grass and trees and creatures to look and remember how much more does God cares for you.

With all our love for you all,

  3. Hi Cindy,
I am so happy for you to be out of the hospital! I continue to pray for your healing - what a testimony you have of God's power throughout this journey. The daily blogs are filled with "answered prayers" - awesome and encouraging for all of us! Planning Team will meet tomorrow and we will be rejoicing for you and continuing in prayer. Love in Christ, Susan
