Update (3/12/2009) 10:00am

Mom had very quiet nurses for the night shift, so she actually got a fairly good nights sleep. The Lord has continued to bless mom's fighter's spirit. The nutrients have given her more energy, calmed her stomach even more, and given her the strength she will need to possibly take a shower today (with the help of a shower stool). Her legs actually look like her old legs, so the swelling has continued to go down considerably. Mom and I are about to take a walk around "the loop" (ninth floor). Keep praying for pain tolerance. Her pain was about a 5 this morning, which is down from last night, but it always fluctuates.

  1. Nick - This is such great news. We can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. You are doing an amazing job with your mom. I know how blessed she must feel having you there with her, especially while your dad has to be away. Our prayer now is that she will have steady improvement and be able to leave the hospital soon. Love you bunches Nick - Nana (Papa too)
